Well, It’s no real surprise that Sex and They City flops in comparison to Shrek. Now I have never been a fan of Sex and The City, nor the movies. Hell I have never watched a full episode, I myself have always been a Girlfriends fan. Which I am still waiting on a movie to bring closer to the series, Hell I will even settle for a straight to dvd movie. Liza Minnelli and Miley Cyrus couldn’t save this movie with there pointless cameo’s. Maybe if the spend some of the money set aside for there wardrobe on a better screenwriter this blog post would be different. This comment off of THG sums up all of my thoughts about it.

I am also sad to report Just Wright didn’t do any better. Does Tyler Perry’s name have to be smeared on a screen for a black film to do well.

BET, as we all know has been on a downward slop, gaining speed headed straight to hell for the past 5 years. Well I maybe being dramatic, but BET has not been the same since the Johnson’s, left creative control Steve Hill and Deborah Lee.
The final straw for me was when I found out that BET did not nominate Monica for best female R&B or any real category just a viewers choice award. Not to down play a Viewers Choice award, but really? Beyonce is nominated 2 years after I am Sasha Fierce is released, and excuse me if I am wrong but does she have a song on 106 and Park or does she have a single with constant airplay? No, she doesn’t. Don’t get wrong I am not a Beyonce hater at all , but Monica has a single out with radio airplay and she has been on the 106 and Park countdown for countless weeks. So why wasn’t she nominated again? Monica also had a hit reality show on BET, where she opened the doors for camera’s to follow her around while she worked on her cd “Still Standing”.
But wait, do the BET awards even hold any sort of merit anymore? I mean really if you were an artist wouldn’t you rather get a Grammy or a AMA or even a MTV award. Amongst it’s peers BET in my opinion is in the bottom of it’s class, I’m just saying.
Black Entertainment Television is , showing African American’s in a positive light. Having quality shows with content and substance for young people to be influenced positively by. Not glorifying ignorance.Not having groupies host music videos show’s *cough*, It’s not giving the best entertainer, best selling artist of time a shameful tribute. (2009 BET awards) And it’s not showing all these corny ass movies constantly on your network. Soul Plane and Black cinema should not be in the same damn sentence.
One thing Deborah Lee knows is that ignorance draws a crowd, knowing that she put’s out shows like Frankie and Neffe, Pay My bills, and some others I care not to name.
If BET wanted to do something, why not remake A Different World? Why wouldn’t a cable station who caters to young impressionable youth have a show on there network about going to school and being productive. Not yelling out “man down”.
The only thing BET has down in recent time, worth bragging about is acquiring The Game for a 4th season on its network. Honestly, I can only imagine how the show will be revised once on the network. But until that happens, most of my tv watching time is used by TVone, you know what BET once aspired to be, before it lost it’s way on a lonely stripper pole and it’s whole life went into a life of petty crime.

On September 6th 2009, Candy and Skittles of Sweet Additions TV held their 1st annual Sweet and Greet at Grant Park, in the heart of Atlanta. YouTuber’s and fans alike came from far and near to be in attendance of this event. Tuber’s got there grub on for $5 a plate, all proceeds of the Sweet and Greet went to help various charities. So a friend of mine sent me the link for this video, of an elderly feeble woman walking in an Ohio Wal-Mart parking lot toting a cane in one hand and a small hand knife in the other. For whatever reason, “she poised” a threat and a female officer deemed it necessary to take her down with force, causing her wig to fly off, and bleeding from her head. I understand that the 80 + year old lady did not drop the knife as she was walking toward the officer when commanded, but was this even necessary? The lady more then likely suffers from Alzheimers disease or some other from of dementia. Did you notice while on the ground the officer looks like shes using no weight to keep her on the ground?…
There’s been an audio circulating around the internet allegedly of Eminem dissing Soulja Boy. At a first listen it sounds as if it is the Shady one, but it isn’t confirmed by Eminem via his official Twitter.

This diss is in retaliation to the Obessed video where Mariah portrays an Eminem look alike.
Madonna was recently photoed out and about and a picture was take of her, nothing unusual there, but the appearance of her arms. I blame the angle of the photo. Madonna is a hot momma,.. this unflattering photo of her arms is just that, an unflattering photo.
